WIKA FLC-VT venturi tubes, available in bar stock or welded sheet construction, are suitable for liquid, gas, or steam flow measurement, particularly in systems with low pressure differential. Standard nominal pipe diameters from 2" to 48", larger diameters available on request.
Venturi tubes are reliable, easy to use and low-maintenance, and particularly suited for measuring clean liquids and gases, and measurements in systems with a low pressure differential.
A Venturi tube outperforms other differential pressure flow meters because of its higher pressure recovery and lower upstream and downstream pipe requirements. At the upstream side, the instrument consists of a gradually decreasing nozzle, through which the medium in a pipe is accelerated. The downstream side is a gradually increasing diffuser section, which enables a high pressure recovery.
Typically used in power generation, oil production and refining, gas processing and transmission, chemical and petrochemical industry, and water treatment and distribution applications.
