BNA

Bypass level indicator for continuous level indication in tank without input power requirement. For operating temperatures -320° to 842° F (-196° to 450° C), operating pressures vacuum to 5801 PSI (400 bar), media density limit: ρ ≥ 2.84 lb/gal (340 kg/m3). Stainless steel bypass chamber and float standard. Other corrosion-resistant chamber materials available for use in aggressive media. Models avialable with IECEx hazardous area approvals. Optional reed level transmitter, magnetostrictive level transmitter, or magnetic switch for sending level data to control equipment.

WIKA's BPA bypass level gauge displays the media level inside a vessel without requiring a power supply.  It consists of a bypass chamber connected laterally to a vessel via flanged, threaded or welded process connections, so the level in the bypass chamber corresponds proportionally to the level in the vessel. A magnetic float in the bypass chamber transmits the liquid level to the magnetic display mounted outside the chamber. Two-colored plastic rollers or stainless steel flaps with bar magnets, mounted at 0.4" (10mm) intervals, display the level on an easy-to-read marked grid.

Typically used in chemical, petrochemical industry, oil and natural gas extraction (on- and offshore), shipbuilding, machine building, power generating equipment, and power plant applications.

  • Stainless steel bypass chamber and float
  • Safely detects and indicates the fill level of aggressive, combustible, toxic, hot, or highly contaminated media
  • Continuous level detection independent of physical and chemical changes of the media, including foaming, conductivity, dielectric, pressure, vacuum, temperature, vapors, condensation, bubble formation, or boiling
  • Individual design and corrosion-resistant materials make the products suitable for a broad range of applications
  • Models available with IECEx hazardous area approvals
  • Optional reed level transmitter, magnetostrictive level transmitter, or magnetic switch for sending level data to control equipment
