LVDT-based solids flowmeter with flow rates from 0.2 to 300 tons/hr, maximum capacity to 230 m3/hr for fine powders. Dust-tight unit good for process temperatures to 450° F. Compatible with Siemens SITRANS WFS300 and WFS320 sensing elements plus Milltronics SF500 integrator for flow rate, totalized flow, and alarms.
Siemens SITRANS WF340 is a low- to medium-capacity solids flowmeter for various product sizes, densities, and fluidities, particularly for fine powders. It uses a robust linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) to convert the motion of the solid into an electrical signal with great precision, sensitivity, and repeatability. It's typically used in fly-ash load out, lime dosing, and gypsum flow applications.
Dry bulk solids enter the flow guide producing a mechanical deflection as they strike the flowmeter sensing plate before continuing through the process. the LVDT in the SITRANS WFS series sensing head converts the deflection of the horizontal force into an electrical signal that feeds into an accompanying integrator (Milltronics SF500) to display the flow rate and totalize the weight.
A complete solids flowmeter system consists of the SITRANS WF340 flowmeter, a SITRANS WFS300 or WFS320 sensing element, a SITRANS flowmeter sensing plate, and a Milltronics SF500 integrator.
