Siemens SITRANS FS290 Portable Clamp-On Flowmeter System

The SITRANS FS290 flow measurement system is ideal for check metering or temporary and test flow measurements. The SITRANS FS290 is often used for temporary checks in water supply and disposal. You can also the flowmeter to quickly check cooling or hot water, reference quantities or leaks. Application expample include monitoring and testing of fire protection systems, and check metering.

It's easy to install with no need to cut into pipe or interrupt the process. The sensors work with many different material pipes except for cement pipes and special plastic composite pipes. The flowmeter benefits include no pressure drop or energy loss, wide turn-down ratio, and precise single path measuring. The sensors have no moving parts and don't require maintenance. 

The transmitter comes supplied with a liquid table with all common material data for easy media selection. Relevant data can be easily and quickly adopted. The SITRANS FS290 is not suitable for gases, steam and inhomogeneous liquids.

The precision electronics of the SITRANS FST090 portable ultrasonic transmitter are housed in a robust weather proof case. The case protects the electronics from harsh field conditions. The flowmter can be powered with hot swappable rechargeable battery (24 hours use) or connected to mains power with the Vac power adapter, for a more permenant installation.
