Air-actuated pinch valve for flow control, available in 1/2" to 28" sizes. The pinching action of the valve body acts as a built-in actuator, eliminating costly pneumatic, hydraulic or electric actuators. Cast iron or aluminum body, variety of elastomers to suit your application requirements.
Red Valve Type A valves have no seats or packing to replace and there are no cavities or dead spots to collect debris and bind valve operation. When fully open, they operate as a straight piece of pipe in the line. Type A valves are often used in in remote locations or harsh environments since there are no external links, levers, pistons, or rotating parts to cause downtime.
The Type A body cavity acts as a built-in actuator: Adding air pressure within the annular space between the body and the sleeve can open, throttle, or close the valve. The rubber sleeve is the only wetted part of the valve body. They come in full port, double wall sleeve, and cone sleeve configurations. Double wall design is ideal for highly abrasive applications. The cone sleeve configurations are used in throttling control applications, and you can match Cv to your specific requirements by reducing the port at the center of the sleeve.
