The Jerguson JB and JX series external cage float operated magnetic level switches are equipped with tri-magnet technology for increased reliability and resilience against vibrations. They use the force of the repelling magnetic fields to create a positive interlocking switch that is extremely resistant to vibration and compensates for installation misalignment.
The stainless steel permanent magnet is attached to the float rod inside the pressure tube. The float assembly travels upwards into the pressure tube as the float moves with changing liquid levels. A magnetically actuated switch is installed inside the enclosure next to the pressure tube.
