DeZURIK KGC-MC Metal Cutting Cast Stainless Steel Knife Gate Valve

DeZURIK KGC-MC metal cutting cast stainless steel knife gate valves are specifically designed to address the metal cutting requirement in recycle and rejects applications in the pulp and paper industry. The KGC-MC valve is designed to cut the media flow with no jamming problems.

To withstand the high loads necessary to shear wires, staples or glass, the valves have a replaceable, serrated seat constructed of 410 stainless steel. Serrations (teeth) on the seat are arranged so that debris passing through the valve — metal, plastics, glass, and shards— will distribute evenly along the cutting edges of the gate, so the valve can effectively slice a column of trash and debris and maintain a seal when closed.

MC valve’s unique features combine to provide a longer service life, less downtime and less maintenance than other valves currently used for these tough applications. To handle large shearing forces in these applications, the KGC-MC body has oversized guides and jams to keep the gate true and straight, and comes standard with strengthened actuator legs (SAL). High strength actuator legs provide additional rigidity to withstand horizontal valve mounting, high cycle rates, and vibration common on cyclone applications.
