APCO CVS-6000/6000A are rugged-constructed cushioned swing check valves for use in water sewage, water treatment, water distribution, and industrial water and wastewater applications. They are designed to handle higher flow rates and pressures and withstand shock.
CVS-6000/6000A valves feature a full waterway flow-through area and low head loss. The disc's pivot point is located outside the port opening, so the entire disc can lift clear of the flow area. This is key in sewage, slurries or other dirty service applications. The valve's top entry design allows all internal parts, including the body seat, to be replaced easily in the field by removing the cover. The seat ring is field-replaceable without the need for special tools.
Closure control options are available free open/fast close or free open/slow close, or free open/controlled close applications to reduce damaging water hammer or slamming of the valve disc.
